August 12th 2021, East Amherst, NY – Glen Oak Golf Course was host to the National Car Rental PGA Jr. League Championship All Stars on Thursday, August 12th. There were 6 teams across the Western NY Section who competed for a spot at the Regional Championship. These six teams were made up of all-star players from over the 350 Junior League Players that were led by PGA Golf Coaches this past season. The Erie League, lead by PGA Captain Sean Moffat (The Kahkwa Club), was victorious and will be representing the Western New York Section at the Regionals on September 3-5th at Westfield Country Club in Westfield Center Ohio.
Also Representing the Western NY Section is Glen Oaks 17 U team lead by PGA Captain Anthony Schiro (Glen Oak GC).
PGA Jr. League is the flagship youth pillar program of the PGA of America’s 501(c)(3) foundation, PGA REACH and local PGA REACH WNY, with the goal of making the program accessible to all youth regardless of background, circumstance or ability. Boys and girls ages 17 and under learn and play golf on teams, wear numbered jerseys and receive expert coaching from PGA Professionals.
