September 3rd, 2021 – Macedon, NY, Blue Heron Hills GC – The 2021 WNYPGA Senior Championship was held at Blue Heron Golf Club over the last two days to crown the best Senior Professional in the Section. Once again proving his dominance on the Senior Professional circuit was Kirk Stauffer of Chautauqua GC.  Kirk claimed the championship after posting a two day total of even par, 142.  This is Stauffer’s 7th Senior Championship title in the last eleven years and his third in a row.  Finishing runner-up right behind Kirk Stauffer was Jon Hoecker of Brook-Lea CC.

The 36-hole championship was also the qualifier for the 33rd SENIOR PGA PROFESSIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP October 21-24, 2021 PGA Golf Club (Wanamaker & Ryder Courses) Port St. Lucie, Florida.  Representing the WNYPGA Section later this Fall will be our champion Kirk Stauffer (Chautauqua GC), runner-up Jon Hoecker (Brook-Lea CC), and third place finisher Tim Fries (GLen Oak GC).

Winning the Super Senior Championship (age 60 and over) was Bobby Hogan of River Oaks GC with a two day total of 155.

Capturing the Classic Senior Championship (age 70 and over) was Charlie Cross of Canandaigua, NY who fired an 18-hole score of 77.  Another notable in the Classic Division was Ray Ziats of Vienna, NY who became the oldest Professional to compete in the history of the WNYPGA Senior Championship.  Ray is 83 and shot his age for 18 holes!
