The Western New York Section hosted more than 80 WNYPGA Professionals at Glen Oak GC for their Annual Meeting on October 31st. The meeting was a success as the Section came together for education and leadership presentations and a reception. During the Annual Meeting, eligible voting members in attendance elected three new officers and two new board members. These individuals were sworn in after the meeting, and the new roles went into effect immediately.

The WNYPGA is excited to announce that Mike D’Agostino, PGA, Head Pro of Penfield CC, has taken the seat of President. D’Agostino will serve a two year term and join fellow officers: Vice President Bob King, PGA of Lakeside CC, newly elected Secretary J.A. Sutherland, PGA of Country Club of Buffalo, and Honorary President Jake Northrup, PGA of Ellicottville Indoor Golf Studio to lead and serve the WNY Section and community. The Board, Membership, and Section Staff would like to thank Northrup for his service to the Section during his presidency.

D’Agostino was elected to PGA Membership in 1999. Throughout his tenure, D’Agostino has served on the Board for numerous years and chaired various committees. Upon his election, D’Agostino said he is looking forward to the next couple of years as he has the privilege to serve alongside the Board making memorable contributions and changes.

The WNYPGA would also like to congratulate PGA Members Sean Moffat of Kahkwa Club and Jonathan Decker of Transit Valley CC who were elected to serve as directors on the WNYPGA Board. These two PGA Professionals will join their fellow Board to positively navigate WNYPGA into the future.

As the off season continues in Western New York, we would like to congratulate all of our PGA Members on another successful season.
