East Amherst, NYThe PGA REACH WNY Foundation Team will be running the 2021 Buffalo Marathon on Sunday, May 30th. The goal for this year’s team is to raise $25,000 for the PGA REACH WNY Foundation. Funds raised will benefit the entire foundation and initiatives that align with all three of our founding pillars: Diversity & Inclusion, Military and Youth.

The PGA REACH WNY Team consists of 13 runners, including Steven Bartkowski, Executive Director of the Western New York PGA Section, and Tim Fries, PGA, Vice President of the PGA REACH Board of Trustees. The team includes military veterans Phil Pandy and Nicholas Martone, PGA HOPE Ambassador, who have graduated from and participated in various PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) programs over the last two seasons.

In 2020, the first Marathon Team was  created by John Osberg, the Founder of Ozmosis Consulting. The marathon team was created last year with the intent of helping our PGA HOPE Program for 2020. However, due to COVID-19 the 2020 Buffalo Marathon was cancelled.

To continue their efforts from last year, the PGA REACH WNY Foundation formed a 2021 Buffalo Marathon team to raise money and participate in the 20th Anniversary Buffalo Marathon. In the case that the 2021 Buffalo Marathon is cancelled, we will still be holding a marathon event for our team at a later date.
