East Amherst, NY, April 7th, 2021 –  The Western New York Section and PGA REACH WNY are excited to announce that long time partner Club Car has signed on to a three-year agreement that supports Section Professional Tournaments, Member Education, and PGA REACH WNY Foundation programming.

In 2021, WNYPGA Professionals, club presidents and superintendents will be treated to a top-class experience at the Club Car Pro-Officer/Superintendent on Tuesday, June 1st at Ravenwood GC, Victor, NY.  Furthermore, competing WNYPGA Professionals will see a return of the Club Car Hole-In-One Fund and Year End Shootout!  This year round closest to the hole competition ends with a shootout at the Fall Meeting at Glen Oak GC which was captured by Bobby Hogan, PGA back in 2019.

In addition to tournament support, our friends from Club Car will also help to enhance the WNYPGA Academy, which is a NEW digital online professional development platform exclusive to Section Members.

The Georgia based golf car company will also be giving back to our community by helping to create new Special Olympic Athlete golfers through the WNYPGA/Special Olympics Golf partnership that was created in 2019.  Glen Oak GC (homesite of the WNYPGA) is the official training grounds of Special Olympics WNY golf.

“Our WNY Section PGA Members continue to be the tangible connection for individuals of all ages and demographics to fall in love with the game of golf in Western NY.  It is humbling to see Club Car give a long term commitment to all aspects of the WNYPGA Section and the work it’s PGA Members continue to do throughout the community,” said Steven Bartkowski, WNYPGA and PGA REACH WNY Executive Director. “We are so fortunate to have partnerships with companies such as Club Car to be able to carry out our mission of serving the PGA Member and growing the game of golf.”
