Dan Antonucci is being inducted as the 40th member of the Western New York PGA Golf Hall of Fame. A PGA Member since 1989, he has served as the PGA Head Golf Professional at Niagara Frontier Golf Club in Youngstown, NY for 34 years. Antonucci’s contributions to the WNYPGA Section and the broader golf community are substantial. He has consistently shown an unwavering support of Section events as both a host and participant.
Antonucci has been on the WNYPGA Board of Directors since 2007 ending his tenure in 2023. During that time, Antonucci was chairman of various committees and held the offices of Secretary, Vice-President, President, and Honorary President. Presently, he serves on the employment and finance committees and is a PGA Certified Professional in General Management.
Antonucci is also heavily involved in the PGA REACH WNY Foundation. He was elected to the Foundation Board in 2024, was a PGA REACH fundraiser hockey head coach for 3 years, and became PGA HOPE certified in 2020 where he is the PGA HOPE Lead Professional at Niagara Frontier Golf Club. Since 2022, he has hosted upwards of two HOPE Sessions each year reaching over fifty veterans.
Throughout his tenure as Head Golf Professional, he has mentored and guided 8 Assistant Professionals through the PGA Apprentice Program to “Class A” status, directed junior golf programs, and won several tournaments.
In addition to his playing accomplishments, Antonucci received the WNYPGA Golf Professional of the Year award in 2011, the Bill Strausbaugh Award in 2012 and 2018, and the Player Development Award in 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2015.
