ASHLEY EASTERDAY JOINING THE WNYPGA TEAM AS DIRECTOR OF COMPETITIONS

On behalf of the entire Section Office Team, we are excited to announce that we have hired our new Director of Competitions Ashley Easterday.  Ashley is set to begin on March 14th and will be in charge of managing the professional tournament department.   She is currently finishing up her MBA in Business Administration from St. Bonaventure University where she was a four-year member of the women’s lacrosse team.

“I am thrilled to be joining the Western New York PGA team. I can’t wait to continue my journey in the golf industry with such a great group of PGA professionals and grow the sport of golf in Western New York,” said Ashley.

Ashley will bring her experience in tournament operations as she spent time working for the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA).  Above and beyond her experience, she brings a passion, enthusiasm, and strong work ethic that will fit directly in line with the culture and direction of our WNYPGA team.  Ms. Easterday has the aspirations to one day work for a major golf organization managing tournaments on a national scale.

We couldn’t be more excited to have Ashley join our team in 2022 and look forward to seeing her take the WNYPGA tournament program to a whole new level.

The WNYPGA Professional Tournament Schedule is 95% complete and will bring an array of opportunities for PGA Members and their respective club members.  The season will kick off with a new travel pro-am to Turning Stone Resort, make a trip to the storied Oak Hill East Course twice and end with celebrating our players of the year at Moon Brook CC for the Tour Championship.
