East Amherst, NY, June 16th, 2021 – For over a year, our team waited and trained to run this Marathon. The team was committed not only to running the race, but also to supporting the individuals within the PGA REACH WNY Foundation.

Thanks to the support of our golfing community, family, friends and sponsors, our PGA REACH WNY Marathon Team was able to raise over $12,500 for to support the programing within the Foundation for the 2021 Season.

The PGA REACH WNY Foundation conducts many different programs through out the season in alignment with our Three Pillars: Military, Youth and Diversity and Inclusion.

These funds will be used to help continue our growing PGA HOPE WNY Program, Helping Our Patriots Everywhere, that will support over 100 veterans through out the WNY Section over the course of the season.

We will also be able to grow our Junior programming by providing more opportunities for our junior golfers, like expanding our WNYPGA Junior Tour and by bringing back our Junior League Program for the section and the Drive, Chip and Putt qualifiers in our area. We will even be hosting the Regional Drive, Chip and Putt Championship at Oak Hill Country Club during September of this year.

In 2019, we were lucky enough to be selected as one of the few leading sections to be able to support a PGA WORKS Fellow, in leu of the 2019 Senior PGA Championship. Since then, we have had 3 WORKS Fellows come through our section to help continue the growth in our foundation, as well as help start new programs like Special Olympics New York partnership to allow Special Olympics athletes to train at our homesite, Glen Oak Golf Course.

Thank You to Our WNY Community!

Our PGA REACH WNY Foundation is responsible for helping over 1,300 junior golfers, 150 veterans and 50 Special Olympics athletes through the game of golf on a yearly basis. With the funds raised by our team, we will be able to provide these programs and more during the 2021 Season.

Thank you to everyone who donated, and we are looking forward to serving our community for years to come!
