On behalf of the entire Section Staff, we are excited to announce that we have hired our new Director of Competitions and Membership Services, Brayden Weiss, and he will be managing the WNYPGA Tournament Program. Brayden started with the team in mid January and we look forward to seeing him in the office mid May as he is currently finishing his degree in Political Science from Wabash College where he plays for the men’s golf team setting both single season and career scoring records.
“I can’t wait to utilize everything I’ve learned to present a polished, challenging, fun, and continuously improving tournament experience,” said Brayden. He has aspirations to become a PGA Professional himself and plans on working on this while in his role. Brayden further stated, “Going through this process not only helps me, but also the Section find ways to help our Associates progress to full PGA Membership.”
Brayden will bring his experience in tournament operations as he spent time working for the Colorado PGA Section’s tournament staff. Above and beyond his experience, he brings a passion, enthusiasm, and strong work ethic that will fit directly in line with the culture and direction of our WNYPGA team.
We couldn’t be more excited to have Brayden join our team in 2024 and look forward to seeing him take the WNYPGA tournament program to a whole new level.
The WNYPGA Professional Tournament schedule will bring an array of opportunities for PGA Members and their respective club members. The season will kick off with a Travel Pro-Am to Central New York’s Turning Stone Resort and end with celebrating our players at The Country Club of Buffalo for the Tour Championship.
