Mollie Mars is the WNY PGA Fifth PGA WORKS Fellow
The Western New York PGA Section (WNYPGA) is pleased to announce the hiring of its fifth PGA WORKS Fellow, Mollie Mars, from Henderson, NV. Mars joined the Western NY PGA Staff in June of 2023 for a 12-month position.
“I’m looking forward to the opportunity of joining the Western NY PGA team.” “I’m eager to join an all women team and grow my experience in the sports industry while helping increase the accessibility of golf in Western New York,” Mars shared.
Mollie will be expanding her horizon as she learns more about the golf industry! Mollie has graduated with her undergraduate degree from the University of Nevada, Reno with a B.S in Management and a B.S. in Marking and her masters degree from Niagara University with a M.S. in Sports Management. While in school, Mollie worked in Residence Life, the Dean’s office of the College of Hospitality, Sport, and Tourism Management, First Tee – Western New York, and the Buffalo Bills.
The PGA WORKS Fellowship aspires to be the most valuable entry-level employment opportunity for individuals from diverse backgrounds to gain experiences in all facets of the golf industry.
The primary responsibilities of Ms. Mars is to support and execute philanthropic activities for the Western New York PGA and PGA REACH WNY, including PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) and junior golf programming such as the Junior Tour, PGA Jr. League, and Drive, Chip & Putt. Additionally, Ms. Mars plays an integral role assisting with marketing and communication efforts to promote WNYPGA Professionals and special events.
The Western New York PGA and PGA REACH WNY are fortunate to once again have the support of PGA REACH National to hire a PGA WORKS Fellow in 2023. Mollie is the fifth fellow for the Section since 2019.
