Local PGA Professional Participates in PGA of America Tee Off on Centennial Anniversary

The PGA of America kicked off its centennial anniversary on Tuesday, January 26 at Orange County National Golf Center in Orlando, Fla. PGA Professional Chris Kulinski of East Aurora Country Club and the Western New York PGA Section participates in a ceremonial tee shot at the countries’ largest demo day prior to the 2016 PGA Merchandise Show.

Robert Hirst, formerly of Olean, N.Y., passed away Sunday, Jan. 17, 2016, in Tomball. Born Aug. 17, 1954, in Olean, he was a son of the late Donald R. and Jane M. Boyland Hirst.

WNYPGA & PGA of America Team Up to Donate $10,000 to the Gay R. Maney Reach for the Green Scholarship

The Reach for the Green Scholarship is from the Rochester Area Community Foundation and was started by the WNYPGA and the PGA of America. It was first awarded in 2008 when the Senior PGA Championship was hosted at Oak Hill Country Club and is a renewable scholarship over the four years the recipient is in college.

 

Congratulations to WNY’s Own Andrew LaCongo- Boys 14-15 Year Old Drive Chip & Putt Finalist

Oakmont, PA, Sept. 12, 2015--  Andrew LaCongo of Holland, NY won the Drive Chip & Putt Boys 14-15 year old Division at Oakmont Country Club.  He punched his ticket to Augusta National for the Drive Chip & Putt National Finals in April 2016!  Good luck to Andrew and all those who qualified!  Click here to see all results from Oakmont Country Club.
